Warm-up
Watch a video and know more about animals.
Step 1 Lead-in
1. Play a guessing game.
Read the sentences and guess what animals they are.
①It is one of the largest animals on land. It has a long nose and its ears are just like fans. (an elephant)
②It is called “the king of the forest”. It kills(杀) small animals for food. (a lion)
③It has a long tail. It is good at climbing trees and its favorite food is bananas. (a monkey)

Step 2 While-task
Task 1 Teach some new words by pictures.
Task 2 Finish Part A ------Write the names of the animals under the pictures.
Task 3 Go on teaching some new words by my pet------a cat.
I have a cat. It is my pet. I can hold it in my hand. I often feed it some fish. When it’s happy,
it likes walking around. When it’s tired, it likes sleeping on my knees.
